Spring Chinook Salmon - Upper Rogue River
There are only two times a year that I actually fish right next to my home, and this is one of them. Our Spring Chinook Salmon show up in the beginning of May and run through July. Due to their high fat content, these Kings eat extremely well. Our Spring Chinook Salmon average 15 to 25 lbs. Current regulations allow the harvest of 2 hatchery fish per day. The bulk of the hatchery fish show up in May and early part of June.
