Hello everyone who is reading this. I have just arrived here down on the lower Rogue River and to be honest my first two days of guiding was pretty slow I actually went to the bay one day and there was fish rolling everywhere. We did get one. Water tempature dropped in the river and they just started to move fast into the system. We fished today and we landed four salmon and one steelhead. I did not take pictures due to my camera was out of juice because I forgot my charger, but it is on the way and there will be Pictures coming. I will be here until the 25th of October.
Carson's Guide Service is back from Alaska and ready to start working the Lower Rogue River here in Southern Oregon! Since I have been home I have worked a couple of days and had great success! The first day I fished was on the middle part of the Rogue ( Aug. 9 ) and we hooked and landed two salmon and two steelhead. Yesterday we fished right in my back yard on the Upper Rogue and hooked four salmon and two steelhead. Army Core Engineers who owns the Lost Creek Dam on the Rogue river have just started to let out water for our Fall salmon. That's going to get those salmon moving up river and start our Lower Rogue River season! Ocean fishing for salmon as been really, really good this summer on the Oregon coast. We are looking forward to a great season! Now that's a big Rogue River Hatchery Steelhead!!!!

Ocean reports from Northern California to Southern Oregon have been real good for King Salmon fishing. Lots of limits have been caught. Lots of those salmon are getting ready to push into our rivers anytime now, I'm looking forward to fishing the Lower Rogue River here next week. I will keep you posted!
