Normally at this time of year I would be fishing the Southern Oregon coast hard for Fall Chinook. But due to extremly low rain fall this season, I have taken advantage of my time and put new laminite flooring in my front room and kitchen. For those of you who are do it your own, you know, I needed the time! We already have winter steelhead moving into our river systems. My small vacation will soon come to and end! We did have a little rain in the beginning of Dec. and the rivers came up just enough to make it happen. I spent two days on the coast fishing for salmon. We did,,, how do I say it,,,,,,, It should have been epic, but, we could only bring one Fall Chinnok to the net in two days. We had quite a few hook ups. One of our salmon actually unscrewed the hook out of the O ring!!!!!!!!!, right next to the boat!!!!! and swam away!!!!! The whole weekend was like that!!!!! Sadness. Believe me, I am not bragging. We just had " one of those days". Happy Holidays to everyone. Looking forward to seeing you nex year!!! All I can say, is , nice fish. We had some good laughs. My wife sitting on HER new floors. We love um! We also painted. Ready to get bck to fishing Merry Christmas! |
