Yep!!!!! Still catching EM! Spring Chinook fishing on the Upper Rogue has been good and has stayed "steady good" for the last few weeks and will stay that way through the end of July. July is a fun month, we will be fishing for Salmon and we will have Summer Steelhead showing up real soon in good numbers, which are a lot of fun to catch and add to your fishing experience!! No matter what fishing rod you like to use ( fly, bait caster, spinning ) Carson's Guide Service can get you hooked up!!!!! Seriously,!!!!!! Been guiding for 20 years, never have I seen a hook in a fishes mouth like this before. How, What!!!!, don't know.......interesting Brian is not camera friendly, I think he drank to much the night before!! Ha Ha!
Spring Chinook fishing here on the Upper Rogue River has been great!!!! We are averaging 2 to 8 hook ups a day, And there is more coming!!!! There's lots going on here in southern oregon!!! Spring Chinook fishing here on the Upper Rogue River has been good!!! We will be fishing for Spring Chinook until the end of July. The Rogue River will open up for being able to keep wild salmon starting July 1st.
Summer Steelhead will start showing up in July as well. July is a fun month because you can catch summer steelhead and salmon at the same time!!!! Smallmouth bass fishing on the Umpqua river is getting really good. If you like to catch alot of fish, this is a fishery you don't want to miss!!!! Look at this Rainbow Trout we caught at Diamond lake this weekend. Measured 25 and a quarter inches, weighed 5 lbs on the scale!!!! Nice trout Tammy!

Winter Steelhead season is has ended, BUT.... don't be heart broken!! Spring Chinook season has started on the Upper Rogue River!!! It's been a slow start, but we have alot of fish coming our way. I expect in another week, Spring Chinook fishing will start getting really good! Here is some ending Winter Steelhead pictures for you to enjoy! Sorry it has been awhile, it's been a roller coaster ride type season with all the weather we have been having in the Pacific North West. Steelhead fishing has been good when we can get on the water, We will be fishing for winter steelhead until the end of April. Here are a few pictures to enjoy!!!

With all the rain we have had this past week, Fall Chinook are starting to run up the Chetco, Elk, and Sixes rivers which are located on the Southern Oregon coast. Fall Chinook season starts now and will go until mid December. We also have Fall Steelhead on the Upper Rogue river which will last until mid December as well. |
