June 23rd.

     Well...... I have to admit that this Spring Salmon season wasn't all that bad! I did think it was going to be better the way it started, but all and all it was pretty decent! Today we hooked three and landed one, and it was a hatchery fish! The other two broke us off on rock ledges. I have two trips left here on the Upper Rogue River and then I fly up to Alaska on June 29th to guide on the Kenai River for Sockeye Salmon, Humpies, and Silvers! I will return back to good OLE Oregon on August 18th! When I return I will start fishing the Lower Rogue River for early Fall Chinook 20 miles up river from Gold Beach out of the town on Agness. I will still be keeping a fishing report available, but it will be from Alaska for the next six weeks. If you are still planning on fishing Southern Oregon, please don't hesitate to contact me!
